Finite element modeling of maximum stress in pelvic floor structures during the head expulsion (FINESSE) study

چکیده
Several studies have assessed birth-related deformations of the levator ani muscle (LAM) and perineum on models that depicted these elements in isolation. The main aim this study was to develop a complex female pelvic floor computational model using finite element method evaluate points timing maximum stress at LAM relation birth process. A three-dimensional created used simulate vaginal based data from previously described real-life MRI scans. We developed three models: (LAM without perineum); B (perineum LAM); C (a combined with both structures). achieved when vertex 9 cm below ischial spines measured 37.3 MPa 88.7 C. occurred time distension by suboocipito-frontal diameter reached 86.7 119.6 C, respectively, while posterior fourchette caused suboccipito-bregmatic 36.9 for 39.8 Including perineal structures simulation affects level LAM. seems occur head is lower than anticipated.

Finite element modeling of the human head under baton impact
Purpose: This research will try to predict damage probability and calculate the main stress resulted from baton impacts by finite element (FE) modeling of the human head considering skull texture, brain and cerebrospinal fluid.Materials and Methods: A three dimensional FE model of the skull-brain complex was constructed for simulating the baton impact. The FE analysis was carried out using ANSY...
متن کاملA shell finite element model of the pelvic floor muscles.
The pelvic floor gives support to the organs in the abdominal cavity. Using the dataset made public in (Janda et al. J. Biomech. (2003) 36(6), pp. 749-757), we have reconstructed the geometry of one of the most important parts of the pelvic floor, the levator ani, using NURB surfaces. Once the surface is triangulated, the corresponding mesh is used in a finite element analysis with shell elemen...

متن کاملthe effect of e-64 on the developmental competence of sheep cocs during in vitro maturation
in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.
Appropriate Loading Techniques in Finite Element Analysis of Underground Structures
Stability of underground structures is assessed by comparing rock strength with induced stresses resulted from ground stresses. Rock mass surrounding the opening may fail either by fracture or excessive deformation caused. Accurate calculation of induced stresses is therefore fundamental in the stability analysis of an opening. Although numerical methods, particularly finite element method, are...
